Case Study - Kersey Valley, Spookywoods

   
         
  Objective
Kersey Valley - Spookywoods, is one of the biggest and most popular haunted attractions in the county.  Every September through October tens of thousands of Halloween thrill seekers arrive to get a hefty dose of fun and fright.  With visitors at an all time high, Spookywoods needed an option to sell premium reservations tickets which could easily organize the arrival of their guests and help reduce wait times at the gate.  The system would need to be easy to setup, manage and give customers an intuitive option to reserve their tickets online.

Solution
INTERACTIVE TICKETING provided their innovative, calendar-based purchase form which effectively managed the influx of online customers.    This “Slot Based Calendar System” gave customers the ability to select the day and time they wished to attend the attraction.   Working closely with the INTERACTIVE TICKETING Sales Team, Spoookywoods organized each night of operation into 15 min increments or “slots”, each allowing up to 50 patrons per slot.  All nights of operation were highlighted on the calendar along with ticket availability or “Sold Out” information (if the slot was full.)

Spookywoods could also monitor and control each slot during their season using a “View/Disable Slot” feature.  This tool made it possible to manually override any slot, at any time, making it easy to add or subtract slot capacities as box office factors changed such as an unexpected increase in onsite sales or a closure due to poor weather.

The Result
Spookywoods attendees were able to easily select the specific day and time they planned on attending the haunt.  This effectively organized the influx of attendees who purchased the reservation ticket and guaranteed they would be able to get into the event at the designated time.  In the end, this helped reduce traffic at the gate and provided customers with a hassle free experience & value while attending.
