The Philadelphia International Auto Show is one of the world’s largest automobile events in the nation.  Tens of thousands of attendees line up each year to see the latest and greatest in automobile innovations.  With online ticket sales reaching record numbers, the Philly Auto Show needed a fast, reliable and accurate way to keep their admission gates running smoothly throughout their 10 day event.Interactive Ticketing provided their fastest scanning hardware and software to date, a compact netbook computer running “Ticket Station 2.0”, with 2 USB scanners. This dependable new scanning package could run circles around any scan solution before it, validating thousands of tickets per hour with unprecedented accuracy.

With just 4 netbooks and 8 scanners, The Philly Auto Show was able to keep their gates covered scanning more than 10,000 tickets per hour during peak times. A Wi-fi connection was also used to keep security tight and provide real-time reporting. By taking full advantage of the software’s network capabilities, the Philly Auto Show could access real-time reports sent from each scanning terminal and keep a close eye on their admissions as they were happening.

“The netbook scanners were a huge step in the right direction! Once they were fired up we scanned tickets quicker than ever before, and finished the show with less than a 1% difference in our scan report versus our hand counted report! This means next year I will not have to collect the tickets, and that saves me time and headaches! Your support team is always great and your response time is always quick, and reliable. Thanks to all!”

The Philly Auto Show was able to keep their lines moving faster than ever before with over 10,000 tickets per hour.  The reliability and accuracy of the netbook scanning software eliminated the need to hand count scanned tickets and, as a result, saved the producers time and money. By increasing their scanning efficiently, they reduced their stress at the gate while adding value to the online purchase experience (online ticket holders gained a speedier entry).
