SUSPICIOUS TRANSACTIONS MONITOR - Stay Informed

Tuesday October 14th, 2008

INTERACTIVE TICKETING has recently released a new security tool, designed to keep you informed of suspicious transactions.  This useful tool reviews all transactions as they pass through the purchasing system and can flag any suspicious orders based on a high dollar amount.  The triggering dollar amount can be set during the initial system setup for both in-state and out-of-state transactions.

When a suspicious transaction is detected, an email is sent to you or your preferred contact.   These orders can be easily investigated by reviewing the transaction detail, which shows the purchasers name, order detail, address, phone number and email.  Should a fraudulent order be found, the tickets from that order can be easily deactivated, protecting you from inappropriate use.

As a proactive measure, we have initiated this new tool to all live shows and this will be an automatic feature for new setup events.  By default, the filter is set to report any order over $250 for local transactions and $200 for transactions occurring out-of-state. If you would like to change these settings to different levels please send an email to support@interactiveticketing.com.   When you begin a new show setup, your eticket template will have a category for information pertaining to this tool.

INTERACTIVE TICKETING is keeping you protected:

We have always worked to ensure the highest level of security and protection for our clients.  The following are just some of the security measures implemented for your online ticketing system:

  • Secure Servers:  We employ 128 bit SSL encryption and McAfee PCI Compliant server monitoring. SSL ensures all credit card data is transacted securely; the daily server monitoring checks for potential new vulnerabilities and ensures we are PCI compliant.
  • Credit Card Security:  Credit Card transactions must pass a series of fraud check filters that require specific information including address, zip, and card security code verification.
  • Transaction Monitoring:  This new Ticket Manager tool allows you to monitor all suspicious transactions by sending you an email each time an order hits a pre-determined dollar amount.
  • Barcode Security:  Each ticket has a unique barcode with a specific checksum built into the code which proves it is an INTERACTIVE TICKETING ticket and that it belongs exclusively to your system.  The purchaser’s name also appears just above the barcode, along with the date of purchase, so you can easily identify the card holder at the gate.

INTERACTIVE TICKETING has always taken security seriously and will continue to develop additional features to keep your online ticketing as safe as it can be.

Contact learn.more@interactiveticketing.com or call 877-253-5676 for more information and training regarding any of our security features.
