2009 March Quarterly Newsletter

Monday March 16th, 2009

In this newsletter we will cover how to use our new tracking link tool and share some good news regarding our 2009 orders and customer support percentages.

Tracking links can measure sales beyond your website
Tracking links can be used to monitor online ticket sales coming from different sources on the web.  Examples of other places you may want to include a purchase form tracking link include: newsletters, partner/sponsor websites, Myspace and Facebook.  It is highly recommended that a tracking link be used any time you include a “Buy Tickets Now” option in your email marketing.  This will give you direct feedback as to who actually buys directly from the email, the results may surprise you!

INTERACTIVE TICKETING makes it easy to create tracking code links by using a simple tool found in the "Ticket Manager".  Remember, each time a customer orders tickets directly from a tracking link you will see the results in your daily reports and customer database.

Follow these easy steps and you are on your way to tracking multiple sources:

  1. Log into the “Ticket Manager.”
  2. Select the “Home” option from the navigation.
  3. In the “System Info” tab, find and click the orange link “Links for Webmasters.”
  4. You will see your original purchase form URL at the top (This is the one posted on your website.)
  5. Beneath this link, click the box, “Want to track the source of your purchasers?”
  6. Enter the name of the tracking code you would like to create, using an underscore for multiple words.  Examples:   Newsletter_02_26_09 or Myspace_02_09
  7. The system will create a link to be posted on your new web sales source (newsletter, Myspace, ect…) Copy this link and post it where applicable.

Customer Support at an all-time low!
Our support and development teams continue to closely monitor all support issues that come through our system.  By staying aware of these issues we have been able to enhance the order process (to minimize order errors), add self help options (for savvy customers), and develop new tools that streamline the support process.

As a result, we have some fantastic numbers for the months of January and February 2009.  These continue to be two of our busiest months and we are pleased to report total orders were up 9% while support was reduced by 37%!  Great job support team!
